Dr. G. Patrick Flanagan spent a lifetime exploring ideas at the boundaries of science, technology and human potential. He began inventing as a child and achieved national attention as a teenager for the Neurophone, an unconventional communications device that would become his most famous invention.
Decades later, filmmaker Ken Sheetz met Patrick while preparing for The Coolest Meditation Ever: Antarctica 12.12.12. What began as a meeting became a friendship — and eventually an extraordinary filmmaking collaboration.
Ken filmed more than 50 conversations and demonstrations with Patrick, capturing his ideas, experiments, humor, inventions and intensely curious view of the universe. Those films became The Flanagan Experiments web series, viewed millions of times around the world.
Then Ken and co-producer Elizabeth England brought the story to the big screen.
